« on: Aug 09, 2002, 01:54:08 PM »
Hello all, Ive got some q's I hope someone can answer in regards to the 'toybox'
what is the 10 spline female input gear out of?
is the 10 spline ouput a marlin part? if so can it be purchased seperately? What diameter is it outside the splines?
I want to use a toy reduction section between a zf auto and lt230 tcase in a Range Rover.
Cheers
Daryl

Wow,

That is one interesting setup..

Yes, the 10-spline input gear is made to Marlin's specifications by Toyota's actual gear cutter in Japan, or in other words, our gears are made using the most current and state of the art machines! :)

I would have to contact Marlin so it will have to wait until Sunday or so..

Yes, it can be purchased seperatly, no problems at all. And again, I will have to get back to you with a price.

Regards,
BigMike

The 10 spline gear mates to the GM 10 spline output of aan SM420 or SM465 transmission.

I am planning on doing something close to what the Rover guy is doing. I plan on putting the Toy Box behind a 465 and in front of a Land Rover LT230 transfercase. My question is who can make the shaft that goes between the Toy Box and the Rover case. The Rover case needs a 10 spline 1.170O.D male spline stub shaft and not sure what the Toy Box need.
