Howdy y'all
My question is twofold,
primarily, might anyone have or know anyone with a MkIII supra or 7M powered Cressida in California that I can get at?
And secondly, it seems like finding a good donor car has a lot to do with luck or having connections with a towing company, cause once the Junkyard gets it, the price goes up drastically as we all know, I mean what's the best strategy here.  Sorry this isn't the most interesting technical question but I thought I might see if anyone had any pointers.  Thanks much!

Maybe just get the parts for the swap at the JUNK YARD.  Harness, belhousing parts and what not. Then get a low milage import for around $700.

I guess I got lucky, and I got a good relation ship with my Junkyard. I got my donor setup for $500. Now if I could just get them to call me when they get new stuff in it would be cool. I try to stop by every 2 weeks to see whats up, and buy somthing once a moth if I need it or not. Just to keep them knowing me. Sometimes they even give me parts. I got a Free Y pipe, and some U bolt plates once. Sweet!

Hey paul,
do you have a 7m write-up anywhere on the web? Hey, if you're anywhere near the Sacramento area could I bribe you to check your truck out?  I can't wait to do the swap myself, heck, I just cant wait to have more than my 230k 22re!  Anyway, thanks a lot for the pointers, hopefully it all goes smoothly-or as smoothly as can be expected with any automotive project, we'll see, thanks again.

There are some pics on my storage site http://home.fuse.net/PaulE/

And a little on the tear down at.http://home.fuse.net/PaulE/SupraSwap.txt

Warning turn the sound down. I was playing with using Wrd as an HTML edditor.

There is also http://www.off-road.com/toyota/tech/supraswap/index3.html Search around there for some info.

Or do a search on the 4x4wire.com BBS for SupraRunner. His site has some info.
