Topic: ARB front bumper for 79-83 trucks

Does anyone know if a ARB front bumper from 84-95 4WD trucks will fit a 79-83 truck?  I always wanted one of those bumpers for my truck, but they apllication guide says they start at 84.  I'm guessing the mounting points would be the same between a 83 and 84 truck??

nope, not too many places like us 1st gen guys.  badland bumpers carries a "basher bar"(llooks similar to an ARB) for our trucks.

Thanks for the info, those things look way to bulky, would probably drag on the trail.  Damn, I wish someone made a badass front winch bumper for thr 79-83 trucks!!!

they are not the same i bought my bumper for my 85 off someone who had put it on an 83. what they had done was take a 2x4 metal tubing and place it across the back of the bumper. worked and looked fine.

sorry no pics the nasty azz contraption was cut offto make way for new 1/2" thick mounts. the 2x4 mounting worked fine except that it was welded with a harbor frieght welder and it look like

Those bad land bumpers lok pretty cool.  I like how you can get just a plain front bumper, or go with options like bars around the headlights and push bars and stuff.
