Marlin U-Bolt Flip with Chevy Springs?

Will the Marlin U-Bolt flip kit work with chevy springs, or will I have to notch out the springs?
I think the Chevy springs are 1/4" wider than Toyota springs.

If the springs are wider than I would thing that the plate would not be wide enough...but I am not sure

I had to take a little off the spring,,but not much at all..It was more of a massage then a notch.
