Just throwing this out there.
Looking to see if I can find someone who has done or looked at doing a turbocharger on there 3.0L V6.
Do you know of any kits for these engines?

Thanks

A guy on Pirate did this and has been pleased with the results...   I can't remember his name, bu if you do a search using 3vze & Turbo and you should find it...

They used to put superchargers on them, but it was way too problematic, so TRD quit offering them for the 3.0. What ever issues they had with the SC i'd bet you would have the same probs with the turbo. Good luck.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll check the pirate site as well.

????  The only company to ever have an S/C for the 3.0 was Paxton, but it never made it to production.  TRD never made an S/C for the 3vze.

If anyone else has some info on doing a turbo charger, I would greatly appreciate it. Also thanks to everyone for there posts.

Not from what i've been told. They built them for a short while, and then quit selling them because of problems.

Even if toyota carried it as a trd item it's doubtful that they made it, and was more likely made by paxton.  TRD sometimes uses someone elses product with their name on it, like their limited slips are made by eaton.  I'll try and check and find out if they used to carry them at toyota,   Nate

Toyota didn't carry them. At was aftermarket only. Not something they put on at the dealer and sold on the truck.
I wish BigMike wasn't so busy, I remember talking to him about this.

I hope you're right, as I'd love to see one!!!

I know that TRD never offered anything for the 3vze, and I frankly don't blame them.

Can you believe that Clifton is running 11PSI with no documented problems yet?  Insane!!!

EDIT: 12PSI!!!!!

If I am right, there aren't many out there, and I definetly agree with some head bolt and gasket upgrades.

Wow that sure is one way to polish a turd.......
