79-83 Custom front bumpers
« on: Jan 25, 2005, 03:09:14 PM »
Does anyone have pics of a sweet  :bling: winch custom front bumper on their 79-83 trucks?  I want to build one for mine pretty soon, and I'm looking for some ideas.  Thanks

I am mounting my winch with a reciever so I can run it front and rear, my bumper is wide enough to fit my winch and protect it if I have it in the hitch. that project is on the way, I just need to make the winch cradle and weld in the reciever.
Sounds like more tree huggin hippie bull :pokinit:

As a matter of fact if you want I'll make you one also. Just let me know what you want, if you want a tube bumper out of tube or like brandons.

nice work! I like the tube bumpers better than the cow catchers, I assume they weigh much less? I would want mine to be like marlins but without the front hoop. I really like badland bumpers front flat top bumper!  http://www.badlandbumpers.com/Index_files/low%20tube1a.jpg

hey if your up to it. Jeff at badlands wants 475 for the flat top. I just want something that is as light as possible. his design weighs 75 lbs. I wish i had the skills otherwise I would try to fab something up like that, but im just learning to weld. Name your price if you dont mind doing something like that.

It's for an 8274, don't know that it would work for anything else. Want me to install it? It won't be a bolt on since you have a newer than 83..

Make me an offer  :gap:

Deer tested. My son hit a deer at about 50mph...No damage except the tag and a lot of blood and meat splattered all over the truck...
