Will the EFI manifolds bolt to an 83 22R head?? Without drilling and tapping.

No and I'm pretty sure that there isn't any room for injectors in to the cylinders either. LC Engineering makes an EFI head that accepts a dual row timing chain for EFI and 84 and later carbed blocks.  :turtle:
Sounds like more tree huggin hippie bull :pokinit:

I'm not exactly sure when they changed it, but somwhere in late '83 to '84 the heads will accept both EFI or carb. I'm almost sure all '84s have the EFI bolt pattern so if yours don't you could find an '84 head and put on your block.

Also '84 Celica's came with EFI and still had the dome piston motors.
TOYOTA FOUR WHEEL DRIVE..............need I say more?

look on your head, if there are two unused bolt hole over the top of where the intake bolts up now, (just above the intake, one in front of and one behind the carb) then I think it will bolt up. :twocents:
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

I'll check. Seems that all the Junk Yard Jewels here have blown motors. And I don't want to have to buy a whole truck just for the engine. But, it's looking that way.
