Rear Axle shaft interchange
« on: Jan 25, 2005, 11:05:20 AM »
My dad's 92 4runner (3.0 4x4) has a bent shaft on the driver's side rear.  What other rears can I pull a shaft from will be the correct length.

Dealer told him 800 to change it and I told him no effin way he's gonna pay they idiots that much.  He can pay me 400 and I'll do it, depending on how much it cost to find an axle.

should be any truck 86 to 95 with IFS and a 58" wide axle minus t100, engine size doesn't matter for axle dia. or spline count but 4x4 or 4x2 does matter for lug stud count of 6 or 5 should take about 45 minutes at most to swap out.

So the coil sprung runners use the same length shaft as the pickups.  I guess that's what I'm asking.
