How in the world do you get the inner seal out of an 85 axle?

a box end wrench also works. If you put it over the seal and pry against the back it may give it just a little more leverage than the screwdriver.

I am currently rebuilding my front axle for the first time. I got a seal puller from kragen cost me a whole twelve dollars. But well worth it. I got the seals out in under 10 seconds each. Hope that helps.
