Ok I just got done lowering my sased 94 pickup about 7 inches. But now after about 2 in uptravel my tie rod hits my frame (kinda expected it.) but I'd like to see some pics of what other people have done for notching the frame to prevent this.

I had to notch the bottom of my old rigs frame for the pitman arm to pass through.  a good way to do it is to notch out what you need, then take a piece of tubing and slice it in half and weld it into the notched area.  this will give you some more room for the tie rod and it gives a nice finished look

Nothcing for uptravel on a ifs frame is pretty moot. Yoe can only gain an inch maybe inch and a half max before you seriously compromise the strength of the frame. I have a 22.5 inch to frame height on my sas 88 runner, 36s, prob 3-4 inches clearance above tie rod, tons of droop. Its all on how the sas was done, if it wasnt done with low in mind from the start, it makes it 10x harder

Ya I didn't originally so the sas, I did just move the spring hanger and redo the steering and do ruf though. But I'm only looking to gain about 1.5" uptravel so notching is an option. Then I'll have maybe 4 or 4.5" up

hole saw, cut out notch, slip in nice thick strong tube, weld in, add gussets to side an top

edit; that pic where the guy modded his frame, it looks like he could have achieved the same result just buy buying a flat pitman arm? The way its setup now a flat pitman wouldnt work, only stock drop

In that picture, it looks to me that he wasnt trying to gain pitman arm height.  He is running his front spring hangers right up against the frame without any crossmember or anything to space them down. So I think he was trying to raise the entire steering box so that the sector shaft nut would not make contact with the leaf spring under full compression.
