Hey all, I'm Sean from Rapid City, South Dakota.  A good buddy of mine on here told me about the site.  Told me of some good deals and tech info, so I figured I would check it out for myself.
I'm an auto body technician and have been in the industry for 6 years although I grew up working on builders with my dad.  I enjoy rock-crawling, drag-racing, R/C cars and R/C airplanes.  I have been wheeling for about 10 years.  My first 4x4 vehicle was a '89 Ford Ranger.  It was all stock, but it got me my start.  After I got a taste of off-roading, I bought a '95 Tacoma regular cab wrecked out of the junkyard, and me and my buddy did a Dana 44 SAS with 5.29 gears and Yukon axles, BDS lift, bobbed and dove-tailed the box, and added 35" Baja Claws.  It was a good truck that got around great, but I recently sold it to purchase my '89 4Runner so that I could include my family when wheeling.
I bought my 4Runner a few months back and the only things that have changed are the 17" wheels, 37" MTR's, removed rear bumper, and removed bushwackers.  It came with the Rough Country lift, front diff skid plate, and 27k miles on the professionally rebuilt 3.0 V6.  Beyond that, I don't know much about what was done to this Runner, but whoever did the work to it, really loved it.  It's pretty clean for an '89 and runs great.  No rust on the body except for a couple spots of surface rust on the removable top.  Only problem I have had with it is that the rear wiper doesn't work and the rear glass is temperamental.  On the wish/future mod list is a Toyota SAS for the front, rear springs/shackles, dual cases, and a rear locker.
I hope to learn as well as contribute while I am a part of this community.  Thanks for having me! :beerchug:

Rapid City, huh?  I'm sorry, you have my condolences!  JK!!  I lived there for 11 years.  Went to high school and most of college there and couldn't wait to get out of that place.  I've been here for a whopping 5 days, so  :welcome:.

Thanks for the welcome and comments guys!  Yeah, Tim....I want to wheel really bad.  Getting my MTR's back from my Tacoma made all the difference on the last trip out.  Looking for SAS stuff....I think that will help out too once it's done!
Yeah, BigRed...I used to say the same thing until I moved away from Rapid.  Now I'm back.  I realized that I love it here.  Been here almost 26 years.

Well, haven't been on in a while, but my 3.0 took a dump on me, so I will be on the computer a lot more now that I am researching a 3.4 swap.  Found a '98 Runner wrecked for a donor vehicle.  Gonna go do a compression test on it tomorrow and if everything looks good, I'll trailer it home and try to be a mechanic.
