I have an 83 axle for my SAS.  The nut on one spindle will not budge!!  Yes, I know there is a "lock washer" with tabs on it.  I have already "flattened" the tabs.  I have Marlin's 54mm socket and have already broken two socket wrenches.  I am about ready to use this thing for an anchor and hit the junkyards.  Any one have any ideas how to get this thing off or have a knuckle assembly laying around they want to sell??

that could be it, no j/k when i was loosening my steering arm, I was going at it with an impack wrench and it wouldn't loosen, then took a look at the button and  :smack:  wrong way  :smack:

Noooo ! if you cant get them off WITH the proper tools (54mm socket) then beating on them with a chisel isnt going to do much but ruin the nut, then you wont be able to get a socket on it anymore. They shouldnt be on there so tight as to break a ratchet let alone 2, something aint right.
