I had to jump on a plane late last night, hours from when we were going to leave for Cali.  My grandmother is in the hospital (she's 96) and it's not looking too good.  Thanks for letting me sign up for your group, megolfer, and I really hope I can make it next year!!  Was really looking forward to meeting you all.  Family's gotta come first though.

it's only a 30% chance of thunderstorms.  mcr8 had the same weather conditions.  it did sprinkle a bit friday and saturday night, but not enough to really get anything wet.  i'm hoping for the best.

yup, leaving bakersfield at 7am sharp tomorrow morning.  that should put us at tahoe side around 3pm, and at loon by 8 or 9pm if nothing breaks .  what time are you guys leaving fresno?

Awesome! My goal is to have us out of here by 7:30! So, as long a Marlin time does not kick in we should be on the road by 8.

I only put the real doors on for the 4 1/2 hour drive to Sac.     Then for the trail I do the half doors, sometimes ya get a little wet with the random storms.

im in the same boat, i thought about bringing the tubes, but no room, and its less drag on the tow rig having regular doors on with all the windows up

Your crazy if you think that time frame will hold It's going to end up more like, hit trail at 4:30-5pm and be at Loon around 1-2am

we already talked this over with everyone going and made it extremely clear that we aren't stopping for anything, unless some major issue comes up with someones rig on the way up.  but as far as stopping for food and restrooms, only time we're stopping is when we stop for gas.  once in modesto, and once on the 80 somewhere.  other than that, we are coming up with no delays.  7am rolls around tomorrow morning and we are on the road with or without whoever is there.
