ToyoTech 82 4x4 Short Bed Project

I just started to get into 4x4 shortly after buy a quad. Need something to get my quad to the beach lol. I had this truck for a while but just started to get work done to it. it runs good so i been slowly fixing anything leaking, broken, and not factory. Im trying to get this back to factory specs with minor upgrades as i go.  i really want it to be factory specs 1st and go from there but as im replacing parts i compare and see if i should just upgrade now.  anyways to the pictures

using all OEM parts minus marlins knuckle service kit cuz its better  

when i got it. its wet so the paint looks shiny but its really a flat red color. had 33s on it but i changed it shortly to 31s

2 inch spacers all around rocking 31s

i have already changed the valve cover gasket, both half moons, adjust the valves, replaced the front oil pump o-ring and crank seal. got a new water pump and all new drive belts i havent installed yet
replaced the rear main seal, rear main seal housing gasket, resealed the oil pan.
replaced with a new complete clutch kit. resurfaced fly wheel also cleaned up the starter contracts as they were still good
pressured washed the crap out of the trans, changed rear diff oil, transfer case oil, and trans oil








changed out rear axle seals even tho they were not leaking


got a TRD spare but can only be used in the rear lol



planning on added these seats but that might changed if i find something else with sliders and brackets


added ps pump and bracket.
replaced all plugs, wires, cap and rotor




right now im in the extremely slow process of install marlins knuckle service kit complete with wheel bearings











threw some undercoat paint to see how it would look



cut my rotor and order new brake calibers, not gonna upgrade to v6 brake upgrade at this time

my manual hubs worked before i removed them but after taking them apart and seeing how rusty it was. i got some used ones locally
gonna be adding marlins highsteer kit with IFS ( need to find someone to help me weld IFS mount and box )

plans are to add OME complete kit cuz i dont want much of a lift
i want front and rear lockers
trying to restore the interior to how it was when new.

Sweet, thats a clean truck, nice to see someone using all god parts ad bringing one back to factory spec, maybe tad better, but not extreme. I look forward to seeing more

yea the parts cleaner is nice to have. if i were to get one. i would look into one of those wash tanks that you can wash parts by hand with. much cheaper route

its hard getting it back to spec due to everything from toyota is discontinued. well mainly the interior stuff lol

knuckles finally serviced. almost got everything done as far as the front axle goes.  still need to bleed the brake system.  took some time due to poor painting weather so i finally got some sun and got all this done

yea, u wont really see much of the painted parts but i just wanted them painted to keep them a little protected. im sure you guys all love to get your trucks dirty and i dont mind as well. once im off the trails, i like to keep everything clean so it will be much easier to spray off the underside if it was painted  i have access to a heated pressure washer hehe

thanks guys. got it all back together and been dying to drive this thing after all this work. go to start the truck and nothing. got battery voltage to starter and starter signal.. = dead starter.
still got to clean the underside and spray some undercoat for now till i do a full tear down to the frame.
gonna drive it as much as i can and work on the interior next

thanks guys. the top does give it a different look which i like. wish it fitted better but i am only gonna use it when i need it. i still got the runner.  yeah i have alot of toys. the s2000 is mine. im still got a few more toys i wanna pick up and i would have it all covered lol but right now im spending it on 4x4 for now

any mods done to the S? or is it all stock?   looks like its an ap2,  what year, 05?
