SE-WA Snow fun
« on: Mar 05, 2011, 09:43:43 PM »
Storm rolling in on the way up to the real snow and a rear veiw mirror pic.

Well found some snow, one spot was a little deeper than I thought, oh well that's why they call it 4 wheelin', and yes I did make it through that, IROK's rule.

A view from the top, all that snow so little time.

And a little video.

So went out again, took several videos but this one from the bumper view looks the coolest.
Here's the link.

We have plans for a Marathon Run this weekend coming up, should find some serious deep snow and some mega drifts. Pictures, video and commentary to follow. Hand picked a few guys that I knew would stay sober, locked front and rear and serious about making it through. Wish us luck.

Well we did it, Marathon Snow Run 2011, road opened the 1st, drove from Clarkston up thru Peola into the Blues, braved the Big Springs hill found a huge water hole in the middle of the road, I mean totally hidden and in the middle of the road, stopped me dead in water up to the doors and axles on the snow. Blasted past Clearwater tower, dropped into a big drift well to get by the far side of Sunset, cruised on up to the Mt. Misery Junction marker which was at almost 7ft. Had a group of snowmobilers show up with mixed emotions, from dirty looks, to complaints to the cool head nod. Cruised on up the road past Wickiup Spr. up and over the hill at Wenatchee Guard Station and down the road, by the time we got to boundry on the Anatone end the snow was really geting soggy and wet, then on to Anatone, WA. It actually was in the mid 30's and snowing most all day, a little fog and even some sun. Awesome time, IROK's Rule.
Lost my camera with all the cool pics, added a couple videos to YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/my_videos?feature=mhum
Also some pics from a buddy
