HELP stock toyota carb wont run
« on: Feb 18, 2011, 01:15:40 PM »
I have a stock toyota carb that i am putting on my 22r truck  it ran previously on another carb
I have all of the vac. lines blocked off except for the two that go to the dizzy  if I press the gas 1 time to the floor to set the high idle  it wont run. if i spray starting fluid down the barrel of the carb and set the high idle  it will run until the starting fluid runs out. if I press the accelerator pedal about 10 or 15 times over and over it will fire over and run for maybe a second or two then die. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG ??? :turtle: :turtle: :turtle:

Either a stuck or incorrect flow level.

On my pop's old yoda, the float arm was not adjusted right.  If the carb aint new, check the float arm.  I had the same problem with his, and that's all it was.  Just something that may help.  Good Luck.
