Simple question, can't find an answer.

How tight do you torque the lug nuts on a trailer?

15x5 steel wheels
205/75 15 tires
5x5 bolt pattern

They're currently at 75.

Id get the size of the lug itself and find a chart for what size diameter that lug can handle
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

90.  You're welcome.  And for the record, lots of trailer lugs actually have the torque stamped on them  ;0

You joke, but some people seriously have no idea that there's such a thing as over-torquing  :shudder:  Some are very aware and watch to make sure their vehicle is torqued, then ask just to be sure, but far too many are oblivious and just tighten them as hard as they can.  They're often the same folks who run 65 psi in a tire with a 35 psi max  :ack:

All torqued to 90.

And 45 psi (load C, 50psi)   I don't like running at max psi, plus I was only at about 4600lbs total weight out of 7000...

Thanks.

Run em at 50.   Trailer tires are designed to be run at max psi, and can actually overheat and begin coming apart inside if not run at max.
