is this trans any good

i found one on ebay for cheap and the guy said that he had marlin change the gears in it like 1st gear is 4:31 gear ratio IS THIS TRUE???
and if so can i use my bell housing from my 4 banger to this??

I seem to remember in a recent post another guy was askin Marlin if he could put a lower first gear in his tranny, and he said it was way too much work.  I'll hafta check the auction and see if he seems straight,    Nate
