ok i have a 22r that has been completly rebuilt. i spent 800$ on it.  it has a new oil pump, water pump, timing chain, cap and roter, plugs, wires, ive polished the valve cover and painted it red, it also has a weber carb and adapter plate and a header.  i have a dual friction centerforce clutch and new starter on it.  this is ready to plop into someones toy.  i figure i have about 2100$ into it

         the question is how much you all think i can sell it for, thanks, mike from sacramento

Unfortunatly you will never get out of it what you got in it, but you already know that.  When you sell it I'd shoot for the stars.  Ask $1500.  Your more likley to get $1000 or $900 for it.  But you never know someone might just say $1500, OK.  When I sell something I never put OBO and I never put FIRM.  Just put a price.

86yota is right about the OBO.  That right there is an invitation to low ball you.  I usaully add some cushion to the price that way I can be flexible.  Just take what you think you want from it and add a couple hundred on it.  You can sell anything for any price, you just have to find the right buyer
