89 4runner with custom s.a.s.(not all poos')

I have an 89 4runner with:
solid axle with 7inch skyjackers frt,6 inch skyjackers rear
crossover steering (custom)
15 x 12 eagles/40 inch boggers
3 litre v6
I've owned this truck for many years now and I also have a 94 ext cab and 95 4runner.I don't have the time or space for all three.I'm asking 6k but i'm willing to negotiate cause the truck needs a tranny which is an automatic.The motor has 10k on a recent rebuild.I'd rather have someone from marlins' forum buy my truck and put it to use than some high schooler who will just end up rolling it first time out.By the way,I'm in Texas.

It has a stock v6 carrier in the rear and 5.71s up front. The truck pretty much has been sitting due to the toasted tranny.I just start it once in awhile and clean it to keep the rust away.I have another truck which I plan to wheel instead.Heres a few before/after pics.

My current project:94 ext cab with s.a.s.,85 toy frt axle,landcruiser rotors,v6 calipers,tru trac frt,detroit rear,narrowed/braced dutchman 9 inch, bored .030 over 400 horse vette motor,turbo 350/toy t case,36 inch swampers,94 4runner buckets etc,etc,etc.

I'm currently doing the same kind of swap on my 90 ex. cab.  I'm hung up on a few things but it will look like yours pretty much when its done.  What axle's are you going to use?

Its got an 85 toy axle with tru trac,v6 calipers,landcruiser rotors.The rear has a narrowed/braced 9 inch out of a f 350 truck with a detroit,custom 6 lug axles.I hope to convert to disc brakes soon.

How well does it pull the 40 inch boggers?
You say the tranny is toast does it not pull leak what does not work mean?

It has so far. I'm having a custom driveshaft built to handle the angle of the dangle.

I'm in Austin. The motor has around 10k. The frt has 5.71s but the rear is a stock v6 3rd member. When I had 5.71s in the rear,it pulled the 40s no problem.I had plans to change to 5.29s but have been working on my 94.

The tranny has no reverse but you could probably find one locally.

No I don't have the other 5.71s. I sold them with the 3rd member which had a detroit as well. The truck has forward gears but tranny doesn't shift right due to the gear ratio.Not to mention its a dog. If your interested ,I'd suggest swapping the tranny/gears and it will be fine.I 'd also trailer it to where you live for now.Let me know.

Ok well let me see whats going too happen with my job and ill let you know something.
when i get my job back ill check with the bank and see what they can do about a loan.
But dont wait on me if someone else wants it sell it too them.

Do you think it would pull the tires very well with 5.29's ive got a set of them allready.

Does it have a radio anything like that.
when it had 5.71's in the rear did it drive ok on the street?
Im looking for a lifted dd do you think it would drive very good on street.
also do you have any recent pics of the tires how much tread is on them cant really tell in the pics.

It doesn't have a stereo and the interior is good except for some wear on the drivers' side seat. The a/c works but it needs to be recharged.As far as a daily driver,I drove it everyday for years until the tranny started going out.The tires have a little life left but you can expect to buy some soon.With a little tlc,you'll have a bad ass rig.You don't see many 89 4runners on 40s with 10 inches of suspension lift.I really hate to sell her but I have too many toys.This isn't one of your typical slapped together overnight rigs.I've owned the truck for over 10 years and have babied it but still wheeled it as often as I could.Keep me posted on your decision.
