I don't have any questions at the moment but I'm sure something will come up.
I really want to post my yota build on marlins forum, I started a post on another site with some pictures of the build which is a family project for us and ended up getting rude comments about my wife, any way this site appears to be a more family friendly site.

Any of you had experiences like this on other sites?

This is the start of my required 11 posts, a mixed blessing but keeps the rif-raf out.

I have had a 85 yota rust bucket for the last 6 years and have been lurking on this site and others getting ideas. Early this year I started my build. Since rust was the major problem I started with a cab swap/body/drive train lift , then we parked it in the shop and built a bed, it's a combination of steel and wood with lumber racks and has been shortened 10", I look forward to showing it to you.

There are a lot of items on the list but for now a 35s, a locker and winch will get me wheeling, this week I hope.

Did you post it on pirate?

All right, I'll try this.

Looks good, I saw it on pirate and posted it looked good, must of gotten out of hand after that. Sucks to hear that happened to you.

The marlin forum is a lot better in that respect, they won't jump on your case for no reason. Keep up the good work

Yea, I had a pic of my wife painting the cab but after reading the comments I removed the picture in question.

blumagoo

It looks like I can start a build thread and use photobucket for the pics.
Can you see the pics or do you have to click a link?

That cross member is sweet.  I helped a friend do a custom cross member on his '79 jeep cherokee cheif.  It was only one cross member, i was going to copy it for my 4runner but I like yours much better.  Do you have any build pictures of the cross memeber and skid plate?

4LoRunner

Thanks' for all the great comments.
I'm in the process of collecting photos for a build thread, so I will be starting that in the few days.
We are hoping to take a run to Hollister OHV park on Friday and get some mud on it, Does any one know if the park gets closed for rain?

I don't think so, you could give them a call to make sure though. Is Hollister close to you? I'm from Prunedale myself.
