Welp,

I have pretty much got the truck prepped for cutting the a$$ end off of my Runner.  I posted somewhere else about cutting off the back end and putting on a dovetailed tube bed and now I wanted a little idea of what people thunk of my junk.   :screwy:

Should I follow the straight up and down line and leave myself a little bit of extra storage behind the seat?  or follow the seat line (the slanted tape line) and get rid of all the sheet metal I can??

Or should I just leave it the heck alone?

I will be putting the ammo cans back in the back of the new tube bed if that is what I decide to do.

This is what the backend currently looks like.

well, never mind on the last part, cardomain is down rat now.

I'd say cut it at the black line , like Boogers or second choice the slanted blue line

Id put a dovetailed bed on it.  Camel toy on TC has his bed dovetailed and it is pretty nice.  He left the floor and wheel tubs inplace and made the cut on the floor and welded it back together.  It still allowed him storage and a functional bed all at once.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

So something like this is not a good idea?

This is only MS Paint.  I cant do much better without a good software setup.

This was my idea and the new pics with the blue tape are getting to a point where I am ready to start cutting.

Nope thats a bad idea.  Not because its not functional but because you still have 6 foot long shackle......  Sorry had to do that..   I think it'll work pretty good for ya, I just thought that Camel toys was pretty cool.

Yo mang, that hurts!!   :joke:

Those shackles have been shortened up to a more respectable length.
Now they are only 5 foot long.

Eventually I am gonna link the rear when I go full width.  Even if I dont go 1tons soon, I will still link the rear and move the axle back a little more.
