Dont jump it and stay on the gas, dont run a front locker of any kind and dont over spin the tires too much.
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

Under normal/smart wheeling the CV's should hold up fine up to 35's, even w/a locker.  However if you abuse them by jumping the truck, hitting obstacles at speed and/or w/the steering at full lock, etc., they will break.  I have been running a true-trac in my '91 for 3yrs now and haven't had any issues, and a buddy just ran the Rubicon in his '98 runner with an ARB(using it often) and the CV's held up fine.  How long they will last is anyone's guess, their no different then any other item on a trail rig, and is why you should carry spares.

I have never broken a CV ever. I have broken the inner short axle due to being stupid just one time. I run lockers and worry less then when I have run a locker in a stock straight axle. I think 33's or 35's max on the tires would be the biggest I'd go. Even with IFS there is no reason you can't wheel with the big dawgs you will get used to 3 wheeling a lot, in fact you become the show sometimes. An IFS will have about the same travel as a stock straight axle before lifting so in reality having a locker is to your benefit, put one in the rear too. A winch is a must and don't be afraid to throw down some line if you get your IFS in over its head, that's what it is there for.

The main thing to remember is in an IFS truck you must look at trails differently over a straight axle, pick your lines and learn the fine art of finesse, work your way through technical sections. I've done a lot of trails that some would say an IFS can't do but have never had much issue with including some of the Hammer trails.
