they are ok as tires... lots of better tires out there.... they are overpriced, and just ok in the performance department

37s with rims sounds pretty decent though, as long as they aren't bald

i would run em ;)

The Xterrains kind of suck in the snow, but to be fair, they were NOT designed for snow in the first place.  I have a set of 35" mud terrains on my 4Runner project. They aren't a really stand out tire but they work OK all around.  Basic mud terrain...

Awful street life. Decent off road. $500 doesn't sound bad though.

Pro Comp mud tires were hands down the worst tires I've run.  Never have I so easily slid the front end through corners, and they were worse mud tires than my bfg at.

My buddy with a fullsize runs xterrains on his rig and theyv always impressed me although iv only driven the truck a few times. Hes had the same set of 37s for 4yrs now and hasnt had any problems with them or punctures and he airs down to ~7psi every time we go wheeling

I bought  a set of used 40" xterrains and planned to use them for snow tires and never got around to mounting them up :dunno:

I wasn't a big fan of Procomp either when I bought my Xterrains, but it was a deal I couldn't pass up.  I got 5-35's basically new(still had nipples on them) for $350 and mounted on jeep rims(sold the rims for $100).  I haven't had any issues with them, they do surprising well in the in the snow(running sub 5psi), and they seem to do O.K. in the rocks, no punctured/sliced sidewalls.  However, as mentioned they don't wear worth a damn on the street, you certainly wouldn't want to run them on a DD.

I hated the xterrains fully.   Maybe it was just the set i had but they werent good for anything.

Rode absolutely horribly on road, and wore pretty quick.
Horrible in the snow and not much better in rocks.

Thats just my experience with them though.  Run them and see if you like them.

I had the 31 AT's, 33 muds and 33 x terrains. And hated them all. They where on a Jeep TJ. they had bad road manners, wore down way to fast, had four tires fall apart on me. a 3 get bubbles in the side wall. If you can get them for a cheap price and just want to use them till you can save up for a better set. then i would get them. But if you could get a better tire for one or two hundred more i would spend the extra coin.

I've got xterrains in 315/75r16, bought used and for cheap, half tread.

Snow has been fine at less than 5 lbs, now ice/rain they are terrible. They ride bad, overall I am happy for what I paid also I would never buy them new.

Forgot to add, 2 of the 4 took 8oz to balance...

X2, I would never buy them new, when these wear out my next set will likely be krawlers.
