Why so much frame between the bed and the hitch?

Why so much frame between the bed and the hitch?

for starters, it tracks beter, also it helps when backing (i wired the conector so the reverse lights work).
also, for balance, that extra wieght up front gives it some tounge wieght.
was also thinking about puting a motorcycle rack in front of the bed, or a deck a quad could go on. tool box, water tank, lots of ideas....

I'm not sure of the value of stuff in CA, but around here that wouldn't pull $1500, even though it is really sweet.

Even here in CA they don't sell for much, which is unfortunate given the amount of time he has put into it.  Whatever the reasons are, they can't seem to command the same amount of money as their same sized traditional utility trailer counterparts do.

I've seen this trailer in person and it's really awesome! This is a steal of a price in my opinion!!
