The FunTreks books are definitely worth it in my opinion. They are pretty comprehensive and include great explanations

I just ordered a new copy of the FunTreks Arizona trails book from Amazon.
Lost/loaned my old one years ago. I do have the Backcountry Adventures
book by Peter Massey and Jeanne Wilson that has all 4 regions, 570 pages worth.
It's in 8 1/2" by 11" format, paperback.  Great resource for exploring Az.
