newbie from saipan
« on: Jan 04, 2005, 05:27:52 AM »
hafa adai, this is Joe B. checking in from SAIPAN....might have noticed by my truck in the background ....of ezether's project. I have a 90' toy xtra cab stock 3.0, r151f turbo trans-using the r150's bellhousing  , 2.28 23spines in front of A/A ice box, #650 marlins 4.70 gears in back. 4.11 gears in the pigs. q-locks in back and lincoln in front. 44" boggers on welds.  Now with the axles :yesnod: well I call them BMA's-- Borja modified axles....homebrew/backyard engineering whatever! and no I did not cut a toy front axle short side and attatched the longside as ezthere claimes!!...all parts are toyotas.  I did this mod back in 2000. front and rear axles are same.. 72"wms no spacers! hyd rear stearing with a fenner pump via stack valves..control in cab. running allpro4340 chromo's and 2nd gen long's. shattered 2ea. of the stubs on the longs taking out the hubs and the spindles...wheels straight 189:1 on gears stuck between to big rocks and kabbom...this was in GUAM last April... Anyways I try to post some pix or my truck later :wink2:

from the looks of your last shot the controls come up through the flloor between the seats. Is that what I'm seeing ? A friend of mine has rear stear on a 76 Ford and he has his controller on the stearing colum so he can stear it w/ his knee. I tried to drive it and it takes a lot of practice  But when you get the hang of it it's not too bad.
