Exciting news from the blackdiamond family.  A baby is on the way.  IVF supplimented with ICSI produced a first time success story.  You can look up IVF and ICSI if you don't know what they are.  In any case, we'll have the opportunity to have ultrasounds done every two weeks for a while.  Our first one about two weeks ago was just a little over 5 weeks in and the baby was only 4 mm long, YET you could see the heartbeat.  Yesterday was the second and the baby was up to 15 mm and it was already possible to distinguish the head and the four limb buds.  So far everything has been textbook with the process.

Congrats man.!

That does give one pause to consider the repercussions of changing jobs...Good luck on all counts!

BUT, this may be the perfect time to make the change. Many people say they want to wait until they can afford to have a kid...hell, if you wait until you can afford it, you'll never have the time.

BTW...the little one has your arm buds :gap:

OMG I'm so excited for you guys! I understand the terms and what it takes to get there/through it. I'll be praying for you that all goes well and we get to see a mini-bd strong and healthy soon!!!

We have not had any serious conversations about names, but I did suggest several with the initials IVF using two middle names and several others trying to work in EMBRYO.  The only good name was Emily Brook, but that's my cousin's name.  The initials IVF are nearly impossible to come up with a normal name with.  Once we know if it's a boy or girl I'm sure we'll get more serious.

Isaiah - God is salvation
Ian - God is gracious
Immanuel - God with us
Isaac - he will laugh
Ike - he will laugh
Ishmael - God will hear
Ivan - God is gracious

Vance - From the marsh
Vaughn - small
Victor - Winner or conquerer
Vince - victorious
