Can anyone verify whether or not a '93 + FZJ80 brake booster will bolt into an '85 pickup?

Just because it bolts up, doesn't mean it will work better.  I had a bad experience.
I got a larger-bore MC from a 92 v6 pickup, bolted it up to my '84, and my brakes went from OK to terrible.
I quickly replaced it with a new one from NAPA that was right for an '84, and my brakes
went back to being very good.  Don't know why it didn't work right, but it didn't.

Explains why the size of the master cylinder must match the increased volume of fluid your brake calipers and/or slave cylinders require when you install larger units. Also the booster needs to be matched to the master cylinder bore.

Bottom line. If you install rear disc brakes and V6 front calipers you'll probably get squishy pedal action with the stock MC and booster. Installing a larger MC will increase the volume of fluid, and give you a firmer pedal. If it's too firm, then the larger dual diaphram booster will balance out the firmness.
