I was talking to a guy who helped me air up after mcr9 and he told me it would normally last him all summer without recharging it.  I have a york I was going to use but I decided to keep my ac.  I have a 20g co2 tank with regulator here that is going to be mounted in my bed for next years wheelin season.   I will say I was shocked how fast it aired up my 35s from 9-10 pounds to 35 psi.

A 29 lb tank should air up your tires a number of times before it needs to be refilled. Heck to fill it only cost a few bucks.

Back in the '94 a buddy and I put together CO2 set-ups using a 20lb tank and standard 2gauge regulators.  I could get about 8-10 snow trips airing up my 33" AT's from 3-5 to 35psi., and in the summer I got about 14-16 fill-ups from 12-35psi.  It runs about $15 to fill 20 lb. tank, I usually filled it about 3 times a year.  I moved on to 12vlt pumps do to not having a local place to fill the CO2 tank where I currently live(or didn't 10yrs ago when I stopped using it).  The CO2 tank will produce enough volume to reseat a bead, though I have never ran air tools off of one, but others have.  If you are willing to build your own set-up, you can get a 20lb chrome tank, mount, hose and gauge for about $200, any welding or fire fighting supply shop can set you up with what you need.  If you go through a welding shop, you used to be able to rent the tanks(about a $30 deposit) then just pay for the cost of the CO2 when you return the empty tank, but of course you don't get a chrome one, nor likely able to paint to match your rigs color scheme.

ya CO2 is the way to go. i run a compressed air tank. ( its free to fill for me ) and i only get about 8;  37" tires off one tank. (its a 2216psi tank) i don't know the gallons but it's the same size as most of the gas tanks i see around.

If its c02 the tank psi is 900 max. usually 500 at 72 degrees.
I prefer my 12v instead, its slow but never runs out. I have 2.5 gallon tank and I can run air tools. It will reset a bead too, might have to do the ratchet strap trick but it will do it.

I've got a 20lb CO2 tank with a quick coupler for my welder that I'll take wheeling too.  It works really well but does have a limited supply.  I have a york that needs to be installed when I find the time.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??
