help sleeping

since i have been averaging 2hrs of sleep a day for the last 3months im looking for some tips on getting more sleep i tried staying up till i physically have to go to bed and trying to fall asleep with the tv on im looking for other options im getting tired of walking around like a zombie all the time thanks

yeah about 100% stress grandmas health is going down hill fast and her 24hr nursing which is suppost to be helpful isn't and i swear at 4:30am the dog is barking at ghosts

Start shooting the dog in the ass with a bb gun when it barks at nothing and it'll stop.  Find out the root of why her nursing isn't helpfull and nip it in the bud, cause it can't be good for her either.  If all that fails and masturbation doesn't help, you may take toymin8r's suggestion  :dunno:

Hilarity aside...try the melatonin. Weed and/or booze really don't solve anything. This may sound like I'm a tofu and sprout eater...but, try some deep breathing.

I cant help alot, Im 26 and have grey hair sprouting all over, the last year has made me look years older.

Im honestly thinking about some meds.
vicodine helps when I take 5 at once.

for helth issues I say go see a good doctor.

go for a long run and when you get back take a hot shower and drink a beer or six whilst you shower... a workout usually always makes you tired and hot relaxing water helps too. Pot will most likely just give you the munchies then you'll have a gut ache after eating everything insight and dream in technicolor without much rest for the mind..... unless the right strain :yupyup:

i have pretty bad trouble falling asleep, once im out im out. I always think about everything in the world when im staring at the ceiling.

Not a fan of pills, they make me nauseous, and i've heard people get some messed up dreams from them.

Weed never made me sleepy either, makes me want to be creative (see staring at ceiling thinking of everything).

Hippy talking here but breathing and relaxing at 11:00 helps me sometimes. just kinda sitting on the floor with my legs crossed and eyes closed thinking about breathing. that will help my brain calm down enough to get some shut eye.

I have also counted sheep. start wide awake looking at the ceiling and imagine a sheep jumping over you. count it. imagine another, count it. id say at 100 stop counting and do something but it has worked in the past.

Im in the same boat, fall asleep around 3 am every night, wake up around 8. I usually smoke a ton o pot, then get bored, and watch sumthin real boring till I fall asleep. I dunno, Im not tired during day, just need less sleep then others, i dunno.

Same here, I can literally go forever without sleep. Going to bed every night sucks cuz I am never tired. When I drove and did sales for a living, I would probably only sleep 3-5 hours a night max, even after working hard physical labor for 12-14 hours a day. Good thing I don't smoke crack I guess lol.

Benadryl works great. But really if you have stress nothing will help? Take benadryl about 2hrs before you wanna sleep an you should be good? Any sleep aid you buy will be the same as benadryl, just cost more. Also try not to drink any energy drink past noon an you should be fine?

Also, drink alot of water before bed, or you will be really thirsty in the morning, also you will feel really slow for the first 20min if you take it past 8pm.

I take Ambien to put me to sleep, didnt matter what i did...nothing OTC would help me sleep. for about the last 5 years I havent been able to sleep. go to bed at like 2-4am every night because i cant hold my eyes open any longer. I think about every little thing and over analyze :pokinit:. and having to wake up at 5am on work days makes it horrible. I stress about a lot of things and i cant keep my mind calm.

So i finally went to the doctor and he prescribed me Ambien, I take it about 30min before i wanna be asleep and BAM im out like a light for 7+ hours. its AWESOME!!!!

Sex works great too :yupyup:

Yes ambien is sum crazy stuff, ppl black out and do stuff, then have 0 recollection of it. But it does knock ur ass out cold and hard

beer does not help people go to sleep, in fact, it screws up sleep patterns......

go for a workout, yes you will be wired for awhile after, but the quality of sleep is much better

trust me, i am an insomniac, as i work 13:45 - 24:00 daily

also, this may sound goofy, but get a pillow that goes between your legs, somehow, it helps get a better night sleep....

i haven't yet tried the melatonin, just because i know its a synthetic drug... and the way we get drug tested @ work, i don't want any surprises, although i don't think there would be any, just don't want my body deciding it doesn't need to make it anymore because i am giving it, and become dependent on it

Look, If you are going to try pot try the correct type. A Sativa strain will make you awake and stimulate the creative side of your brain, making you more active and not sleepy. Try a Indica strain. that will have you sitting on the couch doing nothing. If you prefer not to smoke try some edibles. Pills or alcohol will in the end be worse than the lack of sleep. Also working out and burning off some energy is a really good idea. Nothing like a bed after a hard days work.
