here is the deal. 4weeks ago i did a clutch. last weekend i did an engine oil change. now on the way to work this morning i get this weird sound like an engine knock. but here is the thing oil pressure is good. the knock kinda seems to be coming from the trans. ie once you hear it and push in the clutch it goes away. i did both bearings when we did the clutch. i cant figure it out and its pissing me off any one have any ideas. I'm thinking the new throwout bearing is junk or maybe the pilot. but not sure. my old 81 made a similar sound when the throwout bearing housing cracked but it all so made it difficult to shift. i have no problems shifting no loss of power nothing. maybe a bolt has backed out of the pressure plate or a fly wheel bolt but it doesn't really happen till i hit third gear and about 35-40 mph.
i all most forgot it an 87 sas 4runner
thanks for any ideas or suggestions.
