You can also replace lugs by just taking the tires off. There is enough room to slide new ones in from the back. I drive just over 90 miles a day in my 4runner on 35's and this brake setup has given me no problems.

I wanna do this too.

Is the caliper cast steel or cast iron? Could i weld the nuts to the caliper ears so i just put the bolts in and tighten?

I'm big on welding nuts to stuff so i don't have to use two wrenches.

I recently rebuilt a frame and welded nuts to the frame mounts for the bed. Then i drilled holes down through the bed so you just drop the bolts in through the top like on a Ford Ranger bed.

No nut needed. Just put the bolt in from the other side.

I saw you did that, but i'd rather be able to slip the caliper on normally and put the bolt in (like THK did), rather than juggle the rotor and caliper while trying to start the bolt in backwards from behind the rotor.

I think you should be able to weld nuts to the calipers. dont quote me on that.
and I dont know how to tell the difference.

This way is really easy.

So I got 96 4 runner caliper.  They have 2 different rotors. They have a 11.5 and 12.5. The 4runner fits both they say and the Tacoma caliper only fit the 11.5  I want to know if any one has ran they 12.5 rotors. Cus I do, and I don't want to buy the wrong ones.

I know this thread is a little on the older side, but I thought I would add a little tech. If you end up doing this mod., pick up a spindle stud kit. This way if you ever want to replace a birfield, you can pull the whole hub assembly off as one piece. Putting it back on isn't as difficult when you've got the studs on there to help you support the hub assembly.
