there was a big debat on pirate4x4 a while ago.  i'm running the sky's kit and like it.  one thing i like is that the spacer only sees braking loads where a wheel spacer would see braking, acceleration, turning, and side load forces.  so i feel better that they see less loads.  but there are advantages to the wheel spacers, cheaper and quicker to install and you don't have to have ifs hubsl.  the sky kit was a bit of a pain in the arss to install.  we had trouble lining up the spacer when pressing it on to the hub the first time.  the second one i made a guide pin out of a bolt with the head cut off and then made sure to pollished all the rust and crap off the surface of the hub where the spacer presses on, used a bit of white grease and it went right together.  the one thing i don't like it that you would have to press the rotor off to replace it... not a big deal as i don't plan on haveing to change rotors all that often.

I will be making my own set before the Rubithon (in two months).

I plan on using the wider IFS parts + a 1.5" wheel spacer + 2" offset wheels. I gotta go as wide as possible.

If I start having problems them I'll have no choice but to go full width Toy axles (FJ80 front, Taco rear).

Holy crap Mikey your scrub radius is going to be insane!  Why the heck do you want to go that wide?

I have sky's widening kit and plan on putting wheels spacers on in addition. I bought the wheel spacers before I bought the sky kit so I might as well use 'em. I can always take off the wheel spacers. The sky kit looks like a good product except they are too lazy to give you the proper sized dowel pins so you have to drill out the rotor to fit the oversized dowels. Which is not bad but leaves room for error if you don't have a drill press or a steady hand.
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

here's my setup, home made spacer ifs rotor, caliper, hub. You loose 1/4" of contact space on the rotor since it's smaller then the fj40 rotor but for what I could have only 1 fj40 rotor, I had the spacesr made, new rotors and new pads. So who care about 1/4", I have rear disk brake!!

Now thats the setup im familiar with.  A local 4x shop here has these spacer kits for about $100.  Using IFS rotors and calipers.  Good kit!
