Stock pump (enlarged restrictor though), PSC 1.5" x 5.5" ram (bought used from a buddy), Hayden tranny cooler, and some hydro lines.  One handed steering with 39.5" Iroks and an Aussie.  Makes my rig driveable on the street since it takes all my death wobble away.

I ran PSC hydro assist for a while... Its pretty boss my buddy bought the kit off me and loves it. We both run 40" irocks. The only reason i went full hydro is cuz of those dam tie rod ends. I have never ran any other system but i think the key is the pump and the resi.

I agree the pumo, resi and cooler are key. None of the people i wheel with were happy with the stock pumps and a few have tried the trail gear tc pump and its taken a :pokinit: on them rather quickly.

Mine is working great. I have yet to put it to any major tests but it will turn my 37's with ease on and off road. I highly suggest a good cooler.

I highly suggest a good cooler.

And a larger than stock reservoir to keep the fluid from getting hot.  I'm rocking a good cooler but stock reservoir.  The pump whines like crazy on the trail when it's hot outside and after working it hard in the rocks.  Some 3.5" exhaust tubing and a stock reservoir cut in half make a good cheap project.

Or just buy the rite resi with baffles in it to stop cavitation.

i got a tg hydro assist set up with a 1.5 ram from a buddy(didn't buy it, it was given to me after he swapped to a bigger ram).  i run 37's, stock pump, have a big tranny cooler on it, and stock res.  never had any issues with it.  its been on for almost a year, has had two trips to rubicon on it and a lot of runs up freeway ridge. if your looking for hydro assist and don't want to spend a ton of money, piece together your own kit.  if i had to pay for a kit, i would piece together my own.  that way you can buy a quality u.s. made ram.  some good links on the forum on how and where to go.  just my  :twocents:
