Been working 60 hr weeks, but I'm gonna go down and work on it this weekend. I wanted to make it to the hammers with it but that aint gonna happen, be lucky to have it done by june ::)

how you figure, I have a assuie locker up front and welded rear with stock gears in axle/duals/38.5's 350/th350 and I've only twisted one input(22R) and broke another(broke rear leaf wedged rear axle). Both were my dumba$$ hopping on the rear axle like a pogo.

The t cases will be taking all of the stress. I'm pretty sure kiyul4130  use to have the same problem, but he was on 42's :dunno:

I read through this build on pirate, he had a lot of problems with 4.10s and I think 42s also.

do yourself a favor and put a chromo rear output in it whether its longfield or marlin it doesnt matter. theres nothing worse than wasting the same amount of money on food/gas/beer to go up wheeling for a weekend and blow a case out then to just drop the money on one and skip a weekend of wheeling.

The first thing to break in the "chain of events" is the rear input, that's my  :twocents:  .  I don't understand why yall don't like stock gears.  There's more mass and thickness in each tooth of a 4.10 vs 5.29.  What size tire's are planning on?

running 39.5's. I liked 5.29's in my old truck cause it would barely move with the 4.10s.

made my links tonight and got the axle correctly placed under the truck. Axle will still be moved back more and the truck will be sitting 4in lower than current.

:clap2:. It took forever to get those other two tube adapters in, they all came out pretty much dead on aswell :thumbs:.
I'm gonna get my nuts and bolts tommorow and try and tack the axle brackets up tommorow.

going to work on it now! the goal is to have it sitting at 26 1/2" to the frame under the door. I might have to lower the springs in the back and trim my fenders more but I want a lowrider.

started puttting my links in but I broke my only 3/4 drill bit so i'm gonna go get a new one and hoepfully have the lowers and upper tacked to the axle by the end of the night :crossed:. Not gonna be a whole lot of room for the upper link tower though.

you should triangulate the lowers and run them off that angle/bend on the skid plate skid plate. make the upper link as long as you can with 9" of vertical seperation at the axle end make the panhard as long and flat or negative as possible. match the drag link to it and it will drive goooooooood.

Are you talking about triangulating them inwards more? I'm pretty sure i'm gonna have to bend my ph just like the guy before me had it if I want to have a decent amount of uptravel.

Theres not a whole lot of room to move the pass side lower inwards. If I move the frame side bracket forward about an inch and offset the axle bracket off the front I might be able to squeeze it by the front of the diff :dunno:

look at my build. you have miles of room. after looking at these pictures and what i have going on you can do whatever you want. though you might not want to have to remove the lower links to drop the skid plate to access the cases, the geometry will help a bunch if your going to drive it. im looking at the last picture you posted. you could put your axle link mount right by the "c" just enough to get the gun in there and weld it and have the "frame end" mounted off the skid right where that smudge mark is in the picture. mine is underneath the front output. either way, do whatever you can.

oh ya, lower your truck down so you can get the axle stuffed up in there and see where it will clear.

Just lookin over yer pics and stuff. I saw u need a new 3/4 inch drill bit. maybe you could use a step drill bit. makes drillin big holes easier just gotta mark the step bit so you dont go to big. or stop just before 3/4" and finish with a good bit. :twocents:

after talking with tacorunner today I decided i'm going to weld the brackets for my lowers about an inch and a half off the inner c's and leave the  frame side the way it is. For the panhard i'm either gonna put a bend in it or move the frame side bracket an inch or two forward and fish mouth the frame to clear on full stuff.
