Yes I know its a joke, Im messing with you back. I hate it when someone says its "solid steel" and they are talking about bend sheet metal or tubing, its not solid its tubing!
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

Tofudude

You could say you lost 300 bucks or you could say it saved you 300 bucks on repairing the body and gave you a reason to get a new one.

it did its job.

Yea that bumper is great for plowing cows..... haha

no doubtably the fugliest bumper I have ever seen.. but some dudes like that look what can ya say.

p.s. your still an idiot for hitting something that hard on "accident", your the cracker who need a back up camera on the trail... lol DOOOOOOSH..!

For sure didnt mean it to sound like im the :pokinit: or anything even close to that...

I'll be the first one to say we arent a shop for custom work and some of the stuff we sell isnt the greatest..... but whos is!

haha now you definitely sound like a doosh...cracker? You assume I'm white for some reason maybe you're a racist bigot? Now that no one is makin you sound like an idiot because of your original post of being a high and mighty Demello offroad employee it's time for you to be a real badass now huh?

You had to hit F * I N G HARD!!!!!!! How FAST were you going in REVERSE to bash that in like that? I've been in a few nasty accidents and you must have been HAULIN ASS (in reverse) to do that.... Marlin holds no responsibility for peoples "accidents"...... maybe you should build yourself some 4''x4'' SOLID tube bumpers to prevent bendage next time?

Let's see...double low reverse...no more than 3mph roughly...so you're right I was haulin balls in reverse...

twistedtoy92

3 mph huh?  :hammerhead: whatever you say! might consider layin off the :smoke:

my stock toyota bumper wouldnt be that bad backing into a rock at 3 mph..... :idiot: and those are thin as tin....

That's crazy. I'm running the same bumper, it has recieved more than it's share of abuse with no issues.

You don't have to be going fast to do that kind of damage. I bent my bumper that bad while just crawlin in low. Drove it right into a large rock. I thought the bumper would slide me around and instead it crushed. I pulled it back out and put in some reinfrorcments and now it will let me slide around. That's just how the old bumper crumbles. Suck it up and move on.

Oh and I know that bumper might not be the greatest but its on a toyota mag cover......

Lets see your :pokinit: on the cover of a mag.  People have different opinions on what looks good and with the economy these days as long as were getting paid we'll build just about whatever you want.

NITE KRAWLERS

NIce cover shot man!! Props right der yo! I've had enough of this thread i think cause everyone pretty much knows it all here i guess! If he say's 3 mph so be it, lets just hope he don't hit his truck anywhere there is not some tube to save it! Also it looks like he might need a new bumper and if he don't wont the same marlin one there is plenty out there to choose from. Personally i would build my own and be pround of the damage! Wheel hardcore man and watch out for the rocks when backing up too!!
Sometimes life is a rock an we need a Yota to get over it an Chevy is like a rock so I'm over it!!!

Truck is very nice. Bumper still as ugly as mine

I built some 1 3/4 .120 wall non dom american steel sliders for my runner and they already have some good dents in em. I wish it wasnt so hard to bend .188 wall dom... They are holding up pretty well though, they took some hard hits!

I have a TG rear bumper that I bent on the first hit (pretty good hit) so I wasnt too impressed. I straightend it out, added a tire carrier, 4 supports to the frame, and some other supports and it is holding up great now! Definately was not worth buying a bumper in the first place though, I spent more time modifying it than I would have to build one. Lesson learned
this my man lysol, fresh out the joint

It's the bears...  attracted by all the big tires!

That is really outrageous.  Ive even built bumpers with 95 wall and beat them hard and not had anything munch like that.  You must have been caught in a high gravity magnetic vortex where everything weighs like twice as much...

At least go with AP which is more or less going to be the same thing as Marlin. I've seen way more TG bumpers and sliders crinkled than I have of Marlin and AP combined.

build,
buy,
buy from the other guy,

its steel and hollow, ITS GONNA BEND OR DENT SOMETIME
unless its solid even then it could bend.

tg ap mc  are all more than capable of building a stronger bumper
but there designs are semi universal
and light weight
and are super strong for what they are.
most things bought need some tweeking in one way or another
lifes not a bolt on
reinforce people, you spent $$$$ on a bumper and installed it
you cant tell me you cannot add a few braces.

Im overkill on everything,
insted of bending my bumper I bent my frame!
oh well time to reinforce

85_4RNR

If I spend $400 on a bumper, all I expect and should expect to do to it is paint it and bolt it on.
