just wanted to share, i bought my first yota today. its a 1996 tacoma, 4x4, 5 speed, 3rz, extended cab, and im happy as can be so far.
any do's or donts with the truck?

as in yes, dont buy trail gear. i would kinda agree. some things are good, but most things are not. theres a "what the heck is trail gear about" thread somewhere on here. i suggest reading it. most complaints have to do with their warranty. most of the time they either deny your warranty or just dont do anything about it. i use a TG supplier/distributor company and they have warantied everything i have turned in. a few things ive warantied ive read other people have issues with TG when they try to return the same thing. i still buy a few trail gear things now and then- but i buy from the supplier/distributor- its a little cheaper, usually arrives quicker, supports the "little guy", and i dont have to talk to the trail gear guy on the phone.  8)

DO's : wheel it (like said before)
DONT's: leave it IFS.

oh and DO's: get a credit card with a high balance.  i know that one is needed.   :thumbs:

87 4runner- 3.4L, ARB f&r, 5.29, longs, 39.5in IROKS, duals with a 4.7, body and topper bob'd 11in, way too much lift, and an extremely high credit card parts bill!
