twinstick w56c & d
« on: Jul 30, 2010, 01:28:24 AM »
in the mc store i saw the twinstick kit, i was looking at twinsticking a 1995 toyota truck but it says the twinstick set wont work behind a w56c or d transmission. why is this? would it work on a w56a,b,e? could i swap the w56 out for another 5 speed that would allow me to run a twin stick setup? sorry if this is a dumb question, im new on the mc forum.

The later W56's have the T-case and Trans shifter bases combined in one unit. The older W56's have a separate shifter base for each shifter.

1st stick for 2wd / 4wd

2nd stick for Hi / Neutral / Low range.

With only 1 stick, you have to be in 4wd to get into neutral and low range.
