Nothing wrong with wanting to know where the parts you buy come from.

X4  :yesnod:  It's not like he's asking for an address and a contact number, he's just asking where they're made.  If Marlin feels it's nobody else's business, I'm sure he'll chime in

I appreciate your interest in our product. I along with Marlin Crawler employees (including Marlin), past employees and manufactures are legally bound from disclosing manufacturing and supplier information about Marlin Crawler Inc. Disclosure of sensitive information was a problem in the past and caused many business relationships to go sour. As we have experienced, it allows competitors to use our supplier to produce a similar product. For example, if you need to make a custom seal, how would you go about finding a manufacture? Why work for finding that source when you could just hear it from us telling everyone about it, right? Just as you would like to know who or where our products are made so would our competitors. They have access to our web site and forum plus the manufacturing world is small and the off-road world is smaller. Disclosure of just the general area could divulge our source and along with that, countless hours of our invested time of finding that source.

I can tell you that we buy product directly from USA, Japan, Taiwan, Australian and India. Any particulars would be divulging trade secrets. We do our best to buy the majority of our products from the USA (to support our economy) and Japan (OEM).

Really?  You're trying to make trouble about something you ASSUMED?!  Lots of their stuff is made in america, as they state.  I don't think they ever claimed all their stuff was made in america.  Learn to read
