sm 420 to a stock toy t-case
« on: Feb 12, 2003, 08:20:31 AM »
I just found an sm-420 for my 72 FJ-40 (V-8) but its out of a 2wd pickup.  This is probably a stupid question, but does that matter?  If not, what else is involved to hook it up to my stock t-case as far as adapters and driveline work?

What is in there now? You need a 3speed bell to hook it to a 6. There are several makers of adapters from 420 to 3 speed t-case. Driveline kind of depend on what drive train combo you are going from and to.
