Dingman.

There was quite a bit of snow saturday night.  I don't know about 12 feet though.

The snow was "alright" when we went.  We left my house in magalia about midnight and didn't get home until 6am.
It did start to freeze over and started to get a little tougher, but it was still do able.

Oh and hey, if anyone goes up and finds a chainsaw up there, let me know. Someone in our group left that thing up there on accident somewhere.. :(  I think it was green?  Im not sure.

Given the weather outlook for the next few weeks and the amount of snow fall the northern Sierras got this season, you wont likely be doing any rock crawling in the high lakes area until sometime June.

If you aren't familiar w/spring snow wheeling, it can be eventful, w/a lot of steep off camber slopes, wash outs, constantly changing snow conditions, etc., it is rarely uneventful.  Wheeling in the early morning or late evening would be your best bet since the snow is a little more solid than during the day.  As mentioned take along several shovels and recovery gear, you will need it.  The nice thing about snow is that you can always shovel yourself out of a bad situation, or shovel down a high section to prevent a bad outcome.
