so what do you guys think i could get for my rig($$$$$$) just finished the sas took it out once but i need lower gearing in the cases and 2000 for a lefty is a lot. So ive been thinking about a 1st gen runner thats a hole lot cheaper to do a dual case set up. i know that the third gens are nice but the 1st and 2nd gens are more affordable. well fellas im on the fence give me your imput on this.

my rig is a 97 4runner sr5 v6 5spd, sas w/yota axle, marlin seals, hi pinion w/lockright in front spool in rear 4.10 gears, 35''km2's very decent shape, allpro bumper with 8000lb winch, sliders from tg, long slip front drive shaft, 3'' lift all the way around well thats how it sits as of right now im not desperate for a nother rig but it would be nice to have options will consider trades if they are worth about the same as mine. thanks in advance

The a good start to pricing a niche hobby vehicle is to take the KBB price, 1/2 the amount of money you have spent on parts($0 for labor), and then adjust(up/down) the price for the current market.

When pricing a niche vehicle you need to also consider that banks aren't going to loan anyone more money than the average KBB price, and personal loans are much harder to come by than they were '01-08, so it is going to be hard for a buyers to come up with the cash to it of you price way beyond its KBB value.

The best way to make sure to get your moneys worth would be to trade for something of equal value, or trade plus cash(KBB value).

I know duals and gears are going to cost you more money, but if you plan to continue wheeling, you will be better off just spending the money to finish the rig.

I'd keep it. spend the money on a lefty or 5:29s. Any rig you havent built is probly gonna end up throwin problems atcha and you'll be just as deep into yer pocket workin on it, as you would if you just finished yer rig. Thats my  :twocents: That and My GF has a 3rd gen runner I'd never switch to an older version. I love the 3rd gens!!
SAS 89 p/u 3.0 5speed, bobbed, locked, ready to play in the rocks. or wherever the pavement ends :)
