I didn't take a bunch of pics but i thought i'd post what i had and i'll try to get more as this thing gets finished.  Unlike most of the swaps i've found i'm running LC engineerings pro fuel injection kit which consists of an SDS stand alone engine management system.  To be honest i went this route not only because the harness i got was cut but i was nervous about messing with wiring.  However, after getting more familiar with FSM wiring diagrams i think if i did it again i'd try to cut costs and make my own.  Anyways, here's a couple pics of where it is now.

the little red light next to the AFR gauge is actually a check engine light that's connected to the SDS ecu and the AFR guage is also connected to the ecu and allows it to adjust this automatically.  The second pic is where i mounted the ecu and the red box below it is part of the AFR gauge.  I take it to the exhaust shop on monday and will get more pics when that's done.

Dang, that switch panel is the best one I've seen yet!
Did you make it or is it something you can get online someplace?

thanks for the compliments! When i bought the truck the previous owner had added guages on that backing but the guages weren't really functional.  Fortunately, he had more of that laminated board material so i used it to make what you see in the pic.  All you'd need is the housing which is the incline meter housing and some of that laminated board which is probably 3/8 inch thick.

finally got it running smoothly today and i feel on top of the world  :D .  I can't believe how much more responsive this motor is compared to my 22r which i dumped tons of money into.  I got on it and was even chirping it in second with my 35 bfgs.  I'm going to the dyno tonight so i'll try to get a print out of the numbers and post them up here along with the finished exhaust and intake pics.

So last night i got to the dyno at 6 and we tuned it till 10 or so and just prior to finishing up i believe i spun a rod bearing.  So i call the wife to come tow me home and now am gonna pull the pan and see where i'm at.  I did however manage to get a few hp pulls done which are still on the dyno owners laptop.  I'm gonna see if he can email them to me so i can post them up but i was surprised to see that the truck put down 124 rear wheel horse power.  After a good laugh about those numbers being the second lowest they've seen we went on to tuning until the knock. The dyno was a dynojet and i am at sea level and as far as the motor it's stock minus a free flowing exhaust and an intake.  After i get this squared away i'll try to get the old results as well as the new runs posted up here.

Sorry to hear the bad news.  I had that happen on my old 22re after I built it the first time.  I had never used plasti-gauge before when building motors, but I sure do now.

So did you get the motor torn down yet?

i had to leave home for a six week rotation so i pulled the motor right before i left and dropped it off at a shop to replace the bearings.  I get back at the end of june so i plan on putting it in and getting it back on the dyno soon as possible.  I'll post the results when i get them because i to was surprised to hear that the first couple of runs made above 120hp at the wheels.

That's some good numbers. I am hoping mine puts down close to that.

First nice swap and great looking rig!

Just found this thread while searching around for example SDS mapping for a 3RZ. I am working on a SDS-controlled 3RZ at the moment and I my ask for a few setting ranges if I encounter any trouble.

The main reason I'm replying is because 120+ at the wheels is EXTREMELY impressive! What gear was this done in? Also, in addition to the SDS, what other components were included in this "pro fuel injection kit" ?

Thanks!
Mike
