How long until bad things happen?

I have a reman 22r in my truck, I have about 3000 miles on her already. I am noticing that it needs a valve adjustment, which I was told is typical with reman motors. Is the ticking valve going to go bad over time> ?  I have been too lazy to get it fixed. I plan on doing it before Christmas however Im not sure on the cost of a valve adjustment.

nah, but it's a good idea to adjust it.  it's not all that hard, just takes a feeler gauge, screwdriver and a wrench

Whatup Luke?...........How's the tranny working?.How about the springs?.My Jeep's down right now,but I'm trying to fix it soon.You should go to TDS with us,it's like 2 1/2 months away.

Just remember when you adjust em that it's better to have them a little loose than too tight.  Light ticking isn't usually bad, but a lower sound means trouble,   Nate

Thanks for the replies guys. Hey Peps, tranny is working great, thanks again for the deal. Where is tds? Is that the place you told me about on the phone? I should have all my new toys installed by christmas, I will definatley want to go.

Sounds good! I still have your number. Guess what? I got orders to Alaska, the base is in Anchorage, lots and lots of mudd up there! I cant wait, I leave in June so we will have plenty of time to wheel until then.
