I am looking at buying a front axle from a '78 FJ40 and would like to know what a reasonable price would be. The axle looks to be bone stock, SUA, in need of knuckle rebuild, and no locker.

If it has 4.11 it would be fine spline. I have seen prices ranging from 500.00 to almost 1500.00 This one would be somewhere in the middle to be a good deal IMO. steal it if ya can ;)

I payed $600.00 for a 76 front axle. I was glad to find it.

Not a FJ owner, but what is the width difference between the FJ and PU/4runner axel?
