yes more than one powells!! PDX has one! but that picture is of the main one on burnside.. takes up the whole block.. you could get really lost in there. gotta remember the colors.

as for voodoo.. i like the maple bacon bar.  I heard Rogue made a voodoo donuts beer? anyone try it?

It sounded horrible to me, so I didn't even want to try it.  I love Rogue, but that flavor was too sugary tasting to me.  Maybe if you were a girl.  VooDoo Doughnuts has 3 locations, original location, just off Burnside on the west side, on off NE Davis (one we went too, cause they have parking) and in Eugene. 


And yes Powell's has many stores.  They have the main one on Burnside, but there is also other locations.  They have several other locations near there, within a block or two.  Mostly technical, school, advanced education type stuff, and there is another location in the old Beaverton Mall where GIJoes used to be, and there is talk of a new store opening up in Chicago.

Ammo shortage?

BUY A SHOTGUN... ammo is in slim picking right now here as well, but can still get cases of shotgun ammo, and the stuff is cheap, can get slugs and buckshot as well.  $5.99 for 25 count of remington dove loads. not ideal weaponry but better then an empty magazine.

Crap, that's worse than ours!  There's a bit of pistol (mostly 45 colt), some shotgun and rifle.  Only reason they have rifle ammo left is they began carrying some higher end stuff like federal premium and have been sitting on it.  Even the panickers don't wanna spend $45-50 bucks a box

The picture is from the beach pretty far away from the break.  I is reef.  The inside is mostly rock and dead coral from the rivermouth runoff.  Outside is live reef.

That day was about 4-6 ft.  This break will punish you.  I had one friend die here.  At least he was doing what he loved-surfing.
