Ok guys,

We received a few more registrations in the mail today that were post marked prior to yesterday, and they will be awarded a Grand Prize Raffle ticket each. We simply had too much to process for one day so we will have to wait until Monday to get to those.

Thanks for all these registrations! I can't wait to meet everyone!

Nice list this year.  Looks like 16 1st gen trucks will be there...well maybe 19 w/ Marlins/Mikes and Jons.  Should be a blast.

Hi All,

Well I am excited to see so many folks all revved up about Running the Rubicon on one of Our Biggest Fundraisers of the year  :smooch: Thank you!!

I have a couple of requests:

If you can save room in your rig for 1-5 gallon bucket full of rocks, that you can pick up at the Loon Lake Kiosk already filled and waiting for transport - that would be SOOO helpful!

We have 2 sites on your way to the Springs where they can be dumped: the big incised section of trail before Walker hill and the big Turn, also incised section of trail right at Winter Camp (just before Little Sluice).

We will have signs posted that  say "DUMP ROCK HERE" so it will be easy.

Friends of the Rubicon will be so grateful, as we have another 100 person work day 2 weeks after the Marlin Crawler Round up. This will help us prep for some big corduroy projects in those locations. Believe it or not, we have to bring those deep cuts in the trail back to original grade :yikes: Per the Clean up and Abatement order from the Water Board

Secondly, if you all could ask a friend or tell a friend to please be sure you are running Marlins low profile diff plug http://www.marlincrawler.com/axle/front-axle-parts/low-profile-magnetic-drain-plug. You have no idea how much this one little tiny product helps the trail.

The number of Oil spills are getting better, and a couple of weeks ago at the Ellis Creek Counting station, a poor little Toy Pickup stopped right in front of me and spilled what was left of his gear oil right on the ground at the creek. As I walked back to see how far the trail went, it was all the way back 100 yards past the Ellis Creek "Y".

Another Toyota guy standing next to me said "this could not have happened if he was running Marlins Plug!"

While I know that all types of vehicle leak oil - the biggest spills come from knocked out drain plugs. If we all use Marlins Plug we'll be reducing the odds for a big spill.

I thank you, Friends of the Rubicon Thanks you, Rubicon Trail Foundation Thanks you, and all those who Scrub rocks in October will thank you!!!

Be Well, Have Fun and see you on the Trail!

I'm down with the bucket brigade. Put me down for at least 2. What dates and times will the buckets be there?
