front end clunks

i have an 88 yota with ifs that when i lock both hubs an roll forward or backwards the front end makes a clucking  noise but with the hubs unlocked it does fine. got any info?

cvs or broken hub is my guess
88 4runner 92 cpi duals 37 radial rockers and 4.8 coming soon

sounds like you need to tighten the bolts that hold the front diff to the frame.

sounds like you need to tighten the bolts that hold the front diff to the frame.

good point... and easiest to eliminate.

yeah that sounds like a good start thanks ill try it to day an let you know what happens. does any one know where i can find cv joints i was looking last night an all i could find was the cv halkshaft

cause used CVs are 40 bucks lol

rebuild it for fiffty and thats new joints and ball with lifetime warranty from oreilys so why buy used

pull out your front drive shaft lock it in and drive if no noise is heard gotta be in the drive shaft cv or u joints if still hear a noise gotta be in chunk or axels
