Im planning on putting a 20r (its what i have) into a friends 88.5 sami and i have choices on the transmission... I have a 5spd 2wd transmission or a 4wd (84 4runner trans and tcase). . . ... From the research i have done most if not all people use the toyota 4wd transmission... We would like to use the 2wd trans because we already have plans for the other tranny and it already has custom drive shafts for some reason

Pretty much by my measurements i would just have to modify the intermediate shaft to accept the slip yoke of the yota transmission and it should all fit....
Is there any downsides anyone might see to this. Reliability of the suzuki t case? gear ratio of the 5spd compared to the stock yota trans?
